70,000 People Will Enter Jannah Without Being Questioned<\/h2>\n

The Day of Judgment will be a terrifying day. Every person will be worried about the account of their deeds, while the records of their good and bad actions will be opened and their deeds will be weighed. The fear of that day will be overwhelming.<\/p>\n

But among all those people, there will be some fortunate believers who will enter Jannah (Paradise) without being held for reckoning. They will not be stopped for questioning or have their deeds weighed. They will simply rise from their graves and proceed towards Jannah.
\nWho will these fortunate people be?<\/p>\n

The Prophet Muhammad \ufdfa gave his Companions a beautiful piece of glad news that fills the hearts of believers with hope.<\/p>\n

\n

According to a narration from Ibn Abbas (RA), the Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Lord has informed me about 70,000 people from my Ummah who will enter Paradise without reckoning.\u201d<\/p>\n

(Sahih al-Bukhari: 6472 | Sahih Muslim: 220)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Four Qualities of These Fortunate People<\/h3>\n

When the Companions heard about those who would enter Jannah without reckoning, they naturally wanted to know who these people were.
\nThe Prophet \ufdfa mentioned four qualities that distinguished them.<\/p>\n

1. They Do Not Seek Treatment by Branding<\/h3>\n

This does not mean that these people never sought medical treatment. Islam does not prohibit seeking treatment for illness.
\nRather, this refers specifically to the old practice of cauterization, in which a person was treated by burning or branding the body with heated metal. It was extremely painful, so these people avoided such treatment because of their strong reliance upon Allah.<\/p>\n

In simple terms, their attitude was:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cWe will seek treatment, but our heart will remain dependent upon Allah. If a treatment is extremely painful or considered a last resort, we place greater reliance upon Allah\u2019s help.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For example, if someone develops a fever, they may visit a doctor and take medicine. But in their heart, they do not believe, \u201cThis medicine alone will cure me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Instead, they also ask Allah for healing because they understand that Allah is the One who gives healing, while medicine is only a means.
\nThis is the kind of belief that keeps a person connected to Allah.<\/p>\n

2. They Do Not Ask Others to Perform Ruqyah for Them<\/h3>\n

When a difficulty comes, a believer should turn towards Allah, pray, and ask Him for help. The heart should remain convinced that no one has the power to benefit or harm except by Allah\u2019s permission.<\/p>\n

These fortunate people were deeply connected to Allah. They did not depend upon an amil, spiritual healer, or religious figure to solve their problems for them. Their first reliance was upon Allah.<\/p>\n

Their heart says:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMy Lord knows my pain. I will ask Him for healing and help.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

However, this does not mean that performing or receiving Qur\u2019anic Ruqyah is forbidden. Ruqyah through Qur\u2019anic verses and authentic supplications is established from the Prophet \ufdfa and is permissible.<\/p>\n

The particular quality mentioned here is that these 70,000 people do not depend upon others to perform Ruqyah for them. Their first and strongest reliance is upon Allah.<\/p>\n

Imagine someone loses their job. Instead of immediately searching for a spiritual healer, amil, or someone offering charms, this person first turns towards Allah. They make Wudu (ritual washing), pray, wake up for Tahajjud, and ask Allah:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cO my Lord, provision is in Your hands. You know my condition better than I do. Please help me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

They continue reading Qur\u2019anic verses, morning and evening adhkar (remembrance of Allah), and masnoon supplications. Their heart remains connected to their Lord rather than depending upon another person.<\/p>\n

\"70,000<\/p>\n

3. They Do Not Believe in Bad Omens<\/h3>\n

Many people consider small things to be unlucky. Someone may believe that a particular day is bad, that seeing a black cat means something will go wrong, or that a certain number, person, or event is unlucky.
\nThis is what is meant by believing in bad omens.<\/p>\n

The 70,000 fortunate people do not place their trust in such beliefs. They are convinced that benefit and harm are ultimately in Allah\u2019s hands.
\nNo day, date, animal, color, number, or person can independently bring benefit or harm.
\nTheir hearts remain free from such superstitions because their trust is in Allah.<\/p>\n

4. They Have Complete Reliance Upon Allah<\/h3>\n

This is the fourth and final quality and it is also the foundation upon which the other qualities stand.
\nIt is Tawakkul, meaning complete reliance upon Allah.<\/p>\n

This is a level of certainty that keeps the heart from turning towards anyone besides Allah. When difficulties come, when circumstances become difficult, or when enemies surround them, they do not lose their connection with Allah. They say with conviction:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAllah is sufficient for us, and He is the best Disposer of affairs.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

 <\/p>\n

Allah says in the Qur\u2019an:<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cAnd whoever relies upon Allah, then He is sufficient for him.\u201d
\n(Qur\u2019an 65:3)<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

What Does Tawakkul Really Mean?<\/h4>\n

Tawakkul does not mean sitting back and doing nothing.<\/p>\n

A person should take the available means, seek treatment, work, do business, prepare properly, and make every legitimate effort. But internally, the heart should rely upon Allah rather than upon those means.<\/p>\n

A believer works hard, but knows that the real effect and outcome are in Allah\u2019s hands.<\/p>\n

Consider a farmer.He plants the seeds, waters the field, adds fertilizer, and works hard. But he does not believe that the crop will grow merely because of his own effort. He knows that rain, weather, growth, and the final result are all under Allah\u2019s command. So after making every effort, he turns to Allah in dua and places his trust in Him.<\/p>\n

This is Tawakkul: taking the means while keeping the heart connected to Allah.<\/p>\n

Can We Also Be Among Them?<\/h4>\n

These 70,000 fortunate people are not identified by their clothing, position, or status. Their real identity is found in their sincere faith, strong Tawakkul, and pure belief.<\/p>\n

If we want to develop these qualities in ourselves, we should:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Turn towards Allah before depending upon human support in our difficulties.
\n\u2022 Stay away from relying on charms, spiritual practices, or outward means as our primary source of help.
\n\u2022 Remove every form of superstition and belief in bad omens from our hearts.
\n\u2022 Take medicine, work hard, and make proper preparations\u2014but keep our real reliance upon Allah.<\/p>\n

The goal is not to abandon the means Allah has allowed us to use. Rather, it is to make sure that while we use those means, our hearts remain attached to Allah.<\/p>\n

May Allah include us among those fortunate 70,000 who will enter Jannah without reckoning.
